Cheating on your club

At our club's most recent meeting, Wendi Svoboda - our immediate past president and an area governor - gave an intriguing speech, which she had prepared just moments before. The title of her speech was "Cheating on your club." Her speech challenged us to join other clubs. Even though we are emotionally attached to our club and the idea of joining another club may seem like cheating it is a great opportunity for many reasons. Some of the reasons that she gave included, more speaking opportunities, a chance to help a struggling club and to a see how other clubs operate.

There was more to Wendi's very interesting speech but I wanted to share the salient point about joining other clubs. Oh and finally she added that joining another club does not mean you are disloyal.
